Body fat scales assess the velocity and impedance of this current flow to estimate body fat content, thus computing the ratio of fat to other bodily tissues.

Data Analysis

Typically, the healthy body fat percentage for men is 10%-20%, while for women it is 18%-28%.
Body water
The water content of the human body typically ranges from 55% to 60%, with 60% being considered ideal and a ±10% range deemed normal. Higher water content is associated with a leaner physique and lower fat content, as muscles are composed of about 70% water. For women, the standard water content is between 48.1% and 51.5%, with levels below 49.5% indicating higher fat content. For men, the standard range is 52.3% to 55.6%, with levels below 53.6% indicating obesity.
Bone mass
Bone mass refers to the weight of your bones. About 90% of bone weight is calcium, and over 95% of the body's inorganic salts are stored in the bones. Thus, bone mass can roughly indicate the weight of the body's inorganic salts. The normal range for bone mass is 4.5%-5.5% of total body weight.
Finally, it's important to note that single measurements on a home body fat scale are not entirely accurate. While the data may lack precision, the trend information can be useful for long-term monitoring of fitness and fat loss.
